Itinerary

 

Saturday, November 12 – Tuesday, November 29, 2016

Day 1: Nov 12 - Cusco – Sacred Valley

·      Flight from Lima to Cusco (must arrive before noon).  We’ll welcome you at the airport and take you to our hotel in the Sacred Valley about an hour drive

·      Early evening opening ceremony with Q’eros Don Francisco and Dona Juanita

 

 

 Day 2: Nov 13 - Sacred Valley 

·      Medicinal volcanic water cleanse, preparation for ayahuasca retreat

·      Time for hike and contemplation to set intention for sacred plant medicine ceremony

·      Optional: Travel to nearby Pisac to shop the markets

 

 

Day 3: Nov 14 - Sacred Valley

·      Travel just outside Pisac to our sacred plant medicine retreat center

·      Ceremonies with the Q’ero paqos (Andean priests/healers/mystics)

·      Our first ayahuasca ceremony with the Amazonian Shipibo shaman

 

 

Day 4: Nov 15 - Sacred Valley

·      Gathering to share teachings from the ayahuasca ceremony. 

·      Meeting with the Shipibo shaman and a psychologist individually to interpret your experiences and the healing process. 

·      Relaxation yoga and quiet personal/meditation time  

·      Second ayahuasca ceremony in the evening

 

 

Day 5: Nov 16- Sacred Valley

·      Gathering to share teachings from the ayahuasca ceremony

·      Meeting with the Shipibo shaman and a psychologist individually to interpret your experiences and the healing process. 

·      Yoga and time for relaxation and introspection

·      Group walk in the forest / hills

 

 

Day 6: Nov 17 - Sacred Valley

·      Massages in the morning

·      Group walk in the creek

·      Time for relaxation, quiet / personal meditation time preparing for the last sacred plant medicine ceremony

·      Third ayahuasca ceremony

 

 

Day 7: Nov 18 - Sacred Valley

·      Share teachings you learned from the ceremony

·      Meeting with the Shipibo shaman and a psychologist individually to interpret your experiences and the healing process. 

·      Ceremony of offering gratitude to Pachamama

 Join our guide / translator Odon and Q’ero Elder Kurak Akulleq Don Mariano

·      Hike the Pisaq Inca ruins and the Temple of the Sun for ceremony

·      Pisac market (if time allows)

·      Night in Sacred Valley

 

 

Day 8: Nov 19 - Sacred Valley

·      Full day to sacred site Killarumiyoq with picnic on site

·      Teachings and ceremony in the cave

 

  

Day 9: Nov 20 - Sacred Valley

·      Train to Machu Picchu

·      Explore ancient ruins of the Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu

·      Spend the night in Aguas Calientes

·      Relax in the hot springs

 

  

Day 10: Nov 21- Machu Picchu – Huayna Picchu - Cusco

·      Enter the ancient City of Light of Machu Picchu in the morning

·      Climb Huayna Picchu and descend to the Temple of the Moon

·      Explore the ruins of the ancient Lost City of the Incas for the rest of the day

·      Late afternoon train to Cusco

 

 

Day 11: Nov 22 - Cusco  

·      Explore Cusco – Ancient capital of the Incan Empire

·      A day of exploring sacred sites and shopping (optional)

·      Visit sacred sites of the Inca including: Qoricancha, the Incan Temple of the Sun, the most important temple for the Inca

·      Q’enko, one of the most sacred ceremonial sites to the Inca

·      Sacsayhuaman, a mountain fortress of immense Inca stonework overlooking Cusco

·      Salapunco, sacred ceremonial caves to honor the moon

·      Despacho ceremony to ask Pachamama and Apus for blessings and permission to go to the mountains of the Q’ero Nation

 

 

Day 12: Nov 23 – Cusco - Hatun Q’eros - Huamanripa

·      Our expedition to Hatun Q’eros begins

·      Morning bus to the mountains to transfer to horses

·      Trekking all day

·      Camping overnight near Hatun Q’eros

 

 

Day 13: Nov 24 - Hatun Q’eros - Huamanripa

·      Trek to the base of Hatun Q’eros on Apu Huamanripa

·      Teachings, ceremony and transmissions with Q’ero Elder Don Mariano

 

 

Day 14: Nov 25 - Hatun Q’eros - Huamanripa

·      Continue with teachings, ceremonies and transmissions with Q’ero Elder Don Mariano

 

 

Day 15: Nov 26 - Hatun Q’eros - Huamanripa

·      Teachings, ceremonies and transmissions with Q’ero Elder Don Mariano

 

 

Day 16: Nov 27- Hatun Q’eros - Huamanripa - Cusco

·      Our decent from the mountain of Huamanripa and trekking to our bus

·      Return to Cusco

 

 

Day 17: Nov 28 - Cusco

·      A day in Cusco to explore the archaeological capital on your own. 

·      Our closing ceremonies in the evening

 

 

Day 18: Nov 29 - Cusco - Lima

·      Flight to Lima and home
